Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to your information when you visit a website that SiteFaced builds and hosts, either for a business (its website) or as a preview for a business (a demo).
Who is responsible
SiteFaced is responsible for your information on sitefaced.com.

What we record when you visit
For each page you open, we record:
- when you opened it, and which page
- your approximate location (country and city), worked out from your connection
- the kind of device and browser you use
- the website that linked you here, if any
- how long the page was open and how far you scrolled
- which links and buttons you tapped, such as the call or WhatsApp button
We keep a shortened IP address (with its last part removed, so it no longer identifies your connection) for 90 days, then delete it. We keep the rest of the record, which does not name you, with no fixed time limit. A cookie that lasts until you close your browser groups the pages you open in one visit. We use no advertising cookies, and we do not sell what we record.
On a business's website, we use this to see whether the website works and how people use it, and the business sees the same figures. On a demo, SiteFaced uses it to know whether the business has looked at its demo, so that we can follow up.
Calls, WhatsApp, email and enquiries
The call, WhatsApp and email buttons open your own phone or app. What you send goes to the business, not through us. On some websites we also record the enquiries you make, for the business that runs the website. We process those enquiries only on its behalf.
Where your information is stored
The websites are served by Cloudflare, whose servers may be outside South Africa. Cloudflare protects information to a standard comparable to POPIA's.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can object to how it is used. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
